Living in Broomfield is one of our best decisions! First, the people in this community are incredible! You get to know your neighbors and everyone is willing to lend a hand. Broomfield is an involved and caring community that just feels like “home”. Many people in the Broomfield area have live here their entire lives, raised their families, and now their kids live here! That said, one of the best aspects of Broomfield is the location!! We are located just east of Boulder, north of Denver, with quick easy access to EVERYWHERE!! Including DIA.
Broomfield is a very involved community. We have a terrific Chamber and they sponsor some awesome activities each year! Such as the Western Jamboree, Broomfield Days, Top Golf Tournament, and on and on! We also have the Broomfield Council on Arts & Humanities – they also sponsor some fun events each year. One of my favorite celebrations in the 4th of July – the Great American Picnic – with activities, games, booths, lots of food, and just lots of fun!
Our growing population is about 76,000. In the 1990s, Broomfield and other area suburbs experienced tremendous economic growth, much of it focused in technology.
Since Broomfield used to be divided among four counties, students living in the city were served by the separate school districts for their county. While the city is now united within one county, the city is still separated among multiple school districts. There are five school districts that overlap Broomfield, but the two largest school districts in Broomfield are Adams Twelve Five Star Schools and Boulder Valley School District.
Broomfield features two large public high schools (Broomfield High School and Legacy High), two public middle schools and eight public elementary schools. There are three private schools: Broomfield Academy, with an academic preschool, an elementary school and a middle school; Holy Family, a Catholic high school; and Nativity of Our Lord Parish, a Catholic elementary school. Broomfield also contains two K-12 charter schools, Prospect Ridge Academy, and Front Range Academy, which has two Broomfield campuses. Broomfield’s location is perfect access for students to attend CU Boulder, CSU Ft. Collins, UNC Greeley, or any of the Denver area higher institutions.
