I am a 15-year-old sophomore at Legacy High School. I am a professional Actor, have been for several years, but we will circle back to that. Recently I was invited to the prestigious Washington Journalism and Media conference in DC which I will be meeting with senators, congressman and women and members of the media- to say I’m excited it’s an understatement. Only 300 students worldwide get invited to this conference based on their educational interests and nominated for their academic achievements. I’m thrilled to be among those nominated and chosen to go. I will be staying at George Mason University for 1 week at the dorm where College students live and get a taste of what college life will be like. I’m also getting to meet Representative Pattersen from Colorado in Washington DC and talk to her about what she has been up to on behalf of Colorado. I have never been to DC and it will be amazing to see the Capital. I pride myself in working hard in high school. I keep a low profile at school and just work hard. I am a part of the Model UN debate team and I go to conferences representing the school- I really enjoy those. I also play Dungeons and Dragons, I have been a dungeon master for this last year and that was been extra fun. As a professional actor I have somewhat of a busy life at times. A large part of acting is auditioning so there is a fair share of last min adjustments to my life to do self tape auditions. Shout out to my Agents at Spark Talent- Sara and Hillary and Manager at Top Ten Talent-Gina for always believing in me. I started acting when I was 3.5 years old. Long story short, my mom noticed that I would memorize and copy the words in Character voices watching cartoons. I took classes at The Broomfield Backstory Theater and that’s how I got started in acting. When I was 8, I had already acted in over 10 plays, some of them professional grade Productions. One day I was approached to be in a movie and soon enough I started to act in films. I have done a lot of short films thru CSF, CU and independent films in the Denver area. I’m currently filming a lead role in a Movie called “The Real Michigan” which it’s very close to wrapping- I’m proud and very excited to see the end product. I have enjoyed working with the actors and crew and I’m thankful for Mathew Nelson, writer and director, for trusting me with the role.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I live with my Mom, Dad, little sister, Neela, Whoopie dog, and currently a foreign exchange student from Spain- my older Bro Julio. My mom is a Family Medicine PCP and my dad is a Software developer. Besides them, the only close by family is my super fun Aunt Flavia, Uncle Walt and my cousin Charlotte. The rest of my family is scattered throughout the US and Brazil.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I plan to become a filmmaker, businessman, and entertainment attorney. Meaning I want to make my own movies, own my own film studio, among other businesses, and work as an entertainment attorney, ambitious, I know! I am planning to get a Business of Film degree from the University of Southern California, then get my law degree.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Qdoba and Five Guys are my top two. Pho Duy is definitely up there too!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Broomfield all of my life. I only moved once and it was less than 5 minutes away.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I have not really met him but there used to be this guy at 120th and Sheridan who would twirl a sign and dance. He was so fun to watch and I used to ask my mom to stop by for me to watch him twirl the sign when I was 5 – I wonder what happened to him?

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Currently my favorite movies are Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Black Phone, and The Shawshank Redemption. My favorite shows are Dexter, The Last Of Us, and Psych.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Make something of your life, as long as you are not hurting someone else by doing it, there is no wrong answer.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Coronas; I had been going to it all my life. My family had been frequent visitors forever, and so it was really sad when it closed down. Whenever I drive by where Coronas was, it still brings back memories. I used to eat their possoles since I was a baby.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Steven Spielberg at Pho Duy. Spielberg is my hero because he has made movies because he loves them, and not just to make money. His movies are a success because of that. And so it would be an honor to have lunch with him.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing about Broomfield is the people, they tend to be very nice. I don’t often have huge problems with the people I meet in Broomfield.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
5 years from now, I will be a Junior in College studying Business of Film at USC , I am confident and hopeful I will be accepted. 10 years from now, I will be 2 years out of law school, just starting my career in Law, Business, and Film.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I am a pretty avid gamer, my family definitely knows that I game a lot, but many of my friends don’t know that about me. I play minecraft, plants vs zombies: Battle for neighborville, Lost Ark.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
My school. I had a pretty bad middle school experience, and Legacy has proven to be a very safe place for me. I’ve met a lot of really cool people overall at Legacy, and have so far had a great experience. Shout out to my Model UN and Tabletop gaming groups- I have found me peeps.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My parents. I tend to follow a lot of my mom’s beliefs for the most part. She is a very moral person, and so I strive to be as moral as her. She is an immigrant from Brazil, and so she had to work pretty hard to make it in this country since she didn’t come here with all that much. But she was still able to get into college and pursue her dreams of becoming a Medical provider- she practices in Family Medicine. My dad is a very strong leader, and very cool-headed, so he inspires me to work hard at daily tasks and be an effective worker and leader. He is amazing at fixing things around the house- I can barely hold a hammer, so I admire him for having this ability.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
