Married and two daughters. Although I do have 30 more kids at work 😂, they are all my family as well.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been in the Hospitality Industry my whole life. Growing up it was simply a part of my family. I was part of start up to connected jobseekers with Hospitality jobs. I love the comradery of everyone I work with. The hospitality industry is truly about extended family.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
The steak pho at Jennie Pho and the shrimp and vegies at Ooka. I love trying new restaurants and Broomfield has many to try!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
On and off since 2009. I moved here to help my mom manage her restaurant at the Orchard location.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Ben Vagher. I met him at the Orchard restaurant. He is the epitome of what everyone should strive for in a community. He goes out of his way to mentor and help others. Ben is just a really nice guy.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Money Heist on Netflix, because of all the good planning, and problem solving.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

I believe in working on yourself mentally so much that you only do things that make you happy and do not care about outside noise. It’s easy today to be distracted with so much going on. During Covid I didn’t let anyone go from our restaurant and together, our purpose became about helping others and each other. We focused on the good we could do rather than chaos all around us. I also listen to positive podcasts. Anything that you can do to become mentally strong  and positive also helps with everything else in life.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I really like Broomfield Fish, they help the community a lot. Broomfield Fish helps with resources and not just food, liking helping people to find jobs. They are a great place to volunteer too.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Simon Sinek – he is an inspirational leadership writer (he wrote “Start with Why”).  Leadership is my way of life, and I would love to chat with him about life at a local coffee shop. He does weekly podcasts on parenting, leadership, staying positive.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
A lot of people with big hearts, we saw it first hand through the pandemic.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Opening up five more restaurants, spending a lot quality time with family. I’m always thinking of ways to bring community together – food is one of the very best ways!

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I can’t call my daughters by their names! I give them cute nick names as a sign of love of course!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
I want to make my mother proud more than anything else and my daughters and my wife. My mother was an example of what hard work and family can do. She is a foundation for our family. I strive to be like her and my goal is to take care of her the way she took care of us
