Colorado has always had my heart, I was born and raised in the Denver metro area, moving to the Westminster/Broomfield area as a small child. For a short time my daughter and I lived in Littleton. We moved back to the North area of Denver in 2008, living in the first filing Broomfield area since 2016.

In my later teen years I began learning about and exploring personal development, health, wellness, and alternative healing. I had always been told I was a natural healer and people have often felt comfortable talking and sharing with me. When I was in junior high I received an award from the mayor of the city of Westminster for peer counseling. Through the years I have built my life around helping others. Combining my passions for health, wellness, alternative healing and helping others is what lead me to become an acupuncturist. I started my acupuncture practice, Intuitive Transformations Wellness, in 2016 in Westminster and a year ago I expanded and moved to my Broomfield location. In addition to my private practice I have been the acupuncturist at Step Denver, a drug and alcohol recovery non-profit, since 2016.

Reading “You Can Heal Your Life,” by Louise Hay was one of the best decisions I could have made in my teen years. It contributed to changing my life and put me on the path to who I have become today. I have always had a desire to grow and reach new heights in my life. Personal development has been an integral part of that journey. I have attended various seminars including Tony Robbin’s Unleashing the Power Within, Personal Success Institute’s PSI basic, T. Harv Eker’s Millionaire Mind Intensive, Blair Singer’s Sales Dogs, Cathleen Hight’s Time Management, and Rich Dad Education’s Launch Your Business.

A true Coloradoan and athlete by nature I embrace my adventurous side by snowboarding, hiking, paddle boarding, camping, biking, and taking advantage of the beautiful Colorado sunshine and landscape. When I’m not enjoying the outdoors you’ll find me inside curled up enjoying one of my favorite books, writing, crafting, or spending time with my family.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I guess I can officially call myself an empty nester since my daughter recently moved out. Now it’s just my furbaby German Shepard, Kodiak, and I. My boyfriend and I enjoy spending time together and doing all the “Colorado” hobbies.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I’m an acupuncturist and business owner at Intuitive Transformations Wellness. The thing I love most is seeing the joy and relief on people’s faces when they feel better. Many people are skeptical about acupuncture so they are surprised when it works so well to help them. I also enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My boyfriend and I are pretty obsessed with the queso fries at 5280 Burger lately. Rock City Pie and Ice is delicious, our favorite pizza is the Carmine. Truly Asia is also a favorite of ours.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in the community for the majority of my 45 years and I have worked here off and on for most of my adult life.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I meet so many wonderful people of the community it’s a challenge to say.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
P.S. I Love You is probably my all time favorite movie, if I had to choose one. For a TV show I’ll pick the long running Grey’s Anatomy.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Always remember, life is a series of seasons and seasons always change, circumstances are rarely permanent. In addition to that, “Your body holds deep wisdom. Trust in it. Learn from it. Nourish it. Watch your life transform and be healthy.” ~Bella Bleue

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would love to meet Tony Robbins. I know we would have some great conversation. Eat, Drink, Food, on the patio in the summer.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I like that it still feels like a community. I really enjoy all the trails and amenities that Broomfield has to offer.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I definitely see myself traveling more in the next 5-10 years!

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
This is a tough one…

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Kindness and probably coffee

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
I am blessed to have built a life with people all around me who inspire me. My daughter inspires me with her fortitude, bravery, and willingness to never give up. My boyfriend inspires me with his dedication to his career, his health, and his daily habit to become a better version of himself today than he was yesterday. My mom inspires me through her ability to always be kind and her dedication to helping others. My best friend, Brenda, inspires me through her positive nature and perseverance to always focus on and strive for what you want. My patients inspire me to continue learning and to be the best practitioner I can be.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Peace, comfort, and love. To leave you with a laugh, as my boyfriend would say, “my own toilet”
